Installation Tips – For best results, we recommend using DrBoat Repair Glue to securely attach the base plate. Follow these steps for a strong, long-lasting bond:
• Inflate your board to 15 PSI (if you’re repairing a leak, start with the board fully deflated).
• Clean the application area thoroughly, removing any old glue or residue—acetone or nail polish remover works best.
• Apply a thin, even layer of glue to both the base plate and the board—but don’t join them just yet. Let the glue dry for approx. 20 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.
• Apply a second layer of glue to both surfaces.
• Join the two surfaces, pressing firmly from the centre outward to eliminate air bubbles.
• Warm the area with a hairdryer to activate the glue and increase adhesion.
• Maintain pressure for at least 5 minutes, then place a heavy object on the area and leave it undisturbed for a minimum of 8 hours.
